Mainstream media have been diverting attention to an alleged breach of decorum during President Trump's visit to Arlington Cemetery last week, all while keeping issues concerning the life and livelihood of US citizens off the public radar.
For weeks, alternative and social media have been reporting on the dangerous activities of Tren de Aragua (TDA), an illegal migrant gang from Venezuela, taking over apartment complexes in communities across the United States, but the news has been largely kept under close wraps and off the media big screen.
Tren de Aragua (translation: Train of Aragua) is a powerful transnational gang with an estimated 3,000–5,000 members, whose business includes drug-, sex- and arms-trafficking. It originated in the notorious Tocorón prison located in the Aragua state of Venezuela, and was alleged to have been largely controlled by the inmates themselves.
TDA has been connected to several prominent violent crimes lately, notably the killing of Georgia nursing student Laken Riley, the shooting of two NYPD officers on a routine traffic stop, and the armed robbery of a Denver jewelry store; but it is the gang's systematic takeover of whole communities, with seeming impunity, that is finally coming to the general public's attention.
ZONE OF CONFLICT: AURORA, COLORADO
The dam of media silence started to break when Aurora City Council Member Danielle Jurinsky explained to Fox News in a recent interview how whole apartment complexes in her city, part of Denver's greater metropolitan area, are being taken over by the TDA.
"We currently have entire complexes under gang control – complexes where staff have been beaten up, they've been threatened, their families have been threatened [and] complexes where there are no staff left on the property. These complexes are being run by this Tren de Aragua gang," said Jurinsky.
"They start brokering apartments themselves when someone leaves out of fear or whatever. They go in and take pictures of the apartment themselves," she continued. "Then, I've been told, within hours, a Venezuelan family moves in."
"The local media is downplaying this," she said. "I believe politics is being played with people's lives. … Nothing is being done to help the American citizens that are being trapped under this gang's control."
"It's unreal. Residents tell me that they feel like they are living in a third world country," – Danielle Jurinsky, City Council Member, Aurora, Colorado.
Aurora city officials are claiming the problem stems from code violations in the complexes, to which Jurinsky says:
"The city doesn't know how to handle it so the [it] is burying certain properties that have been taken over [by the gang] in code violations, playing it off as though this is simply code violation [issue]."
She says based on her own observation and experience, TDA marks its territory with gang graffiti and posts guards who are in constant communication with each other around it.
Colorado's Democrat governor, Jared Polis, dismissed Jurinsky's assessment. In a prepared statement, his spokesperson said, "The Governor has already let the Mayor [of Aurora] know that the State is ready to support the local police department with assistance from state troopers and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation if needed."
"[A]ccording to police intelligence, this purported invasion is largely a feature of Danielle Jurinsky's imagination," the spokesperson added.
Area police are also downplaying the activities of TDA in their jurisdiction. The president of Aurora's police union said that it's "absolutely inaccurate" to say the gang is taking over the city. "They're not any different than any other documented gang that we have," he said.
Regarding the alleged instruction by TDA leaders to their members to shoot police officers as needed, the president said, "I can tell you ... there [is] a concern about this quote-unquote 'green light' that [TDA] have on officers. Sure, there's a concern about it, but in my opinion, as the union president, I feel that we have been green-lighted since 2020."
The accounts Aurora residents are posting on social media contradict the governor's facile dismissal of the "purported invasion" as a "feature" of the councilwoman's "imagination" and the blasé reaction of the president of the police union.
One black resident in Aurora posted a passionate and powerful statement on TikTok describing the predicament of rental companies, the denial of media and government officials, the many black and brown people affected, as well as warning about future takeovers.
She says CBZ management [a provider of rental apartments across Colorado] "has been trying desperately to regain control of their apartment. It just spent $300,000 to bring its complex up to code with renovations, but they can't even go in there because the Venezuelan gang has taken over ...
The city ... and the media ... have denied the allegations even though [the city] posted eviction notices on the doors of residents and given them a very short amount of time to move out and find somewhere else to live ... if this had been Cherry Creek, if this had been Greenwood Village [both affluent areas in the Denver area], Jared Polis, the Colorado governor, would have sent in the damn National Guard, but because it's full of black and brown people in Aurora nobody cares. This is a very dangerous problem. This is just a testing ground. ...
CBZ management is giving the country and the surrounding areas in Denver a heads-up. Your community is next, and if you think you're protected because of how you vote or because of your location location location, you're not safe, your children are not safe. You better get civic-minded and stop saying I'm not into politics cuz politics is into you. You got Kamala Harris running around now wanting to be the head of of the entire country, but she has spent the last four years ignoring the border ...
I would like to point out the very glaring truth and fact that President Trump has been saying for years that these foreign countries are releasing their prisoners and sending them to the United States … they released them from Venezuelan prisons and they now live here around you and your children. Are you still going to sit by and claim that Trump is racist or something's wrong with him when he is the only politician who is willing to address this head on?"
These sentiments are not unique and are representative of many others posted on X, YouTube, and other social media forums. Many blame Denver's sanctuary city status for a rise in crime, as well as a housing crisis now spilling over into the suburbs. The New York Post reports that Denver leads the country in new migrant arrivals per capita. Since December 2022, more than 40,000 illegal immigrants have arrived in the Mile High City.
ZONE OF CONFLICT: CHICAGO, ILLINOIS
Recent reports coming out of Chicago allege the Venezuelan gang took control of an apartment building on South King Drive.
A 911 audio dispatch call indicated a group of over 30 individuals displayed firearms openly in the building's courtyard, and intimidated residents as they "filled stairwells" and took over the premises.
The 911 calls, shared widely online, describe the scene as chaotic, with the callers expressing fear for their safety.
Immediate actions taken by the police or the current status of the situation remain open, and authorities have not yet provided a comprehensive statement, although city officials are expected to hold a press conference to address the public's concerns.
CBS News recently reported that the city of Chicago has spent $194.5 million on illegals in 16 months, and amended a new contract with one of the financial vendors for additional $150 million.
ZONE OF CONFLICT: NEW YORK CITY
New York City is presently one of the centers of TDA activity. According to numerous reports, NYPD is trying to tackle the rapidly escalating violent crime among the Venezuelan gang members who have gotten into the city, calling it their "biggest challenge."
NYPD assistant chief of detectives recently told Fox News that TDA has been making it over the border with the migrant influx, and is getting established in New York. The organization is trying to grow, he says, and has gone from petty crimes like shoplifting and stealing cell phones and jewelry, to shootouts in the streets.
The New York borough of Queens was the site of the June shooting of two police officers by gang member Bernardo Raul Castro Mata during a routine traffic stop. Mata confessed to police that gang members are being instructed to shoot police officers. He also confessed that gang members are smuggling firearms into city shelters inside food delivery packages to avoid metal detectors.
As in Aurora and Chicago, reports of gangs taking over apartments and forcing out lawful occupants, either by tricking them into giving up the property or, as in one case, starting a fire to destroy the building, are on the rise.
"The reason this is happening in New York and Chicago and Denver and other cities like this is because these gang members understand ... that they can get away with a lot more in parts of the country where laws are designed to protect them." – Cash Jordan popular YouTuber
Mainstream media, however, continues to prattle on about an alleged conflict between Trump staff and cemetery personnel when he visited Arlington Cemetery with Gold Star families last week to honor America's fallen.
Trump pushed back on the diversionary tactics of the press, writing on Truth Social:
"There was no conflict or 'fighting' at Arlington National Cemetery last week. It was a made up story by Comrade Kamala and her misinformation squad. ... Biden and Harris should have been at Arlington, not on a beach or studying for a debate."

Kamala Harris represents the most extreme left wing of a Democrat party already captured by anti-Christian, Marxist elements. Throughout the run-up to the election, Souls and Liberty will be sounding the alarm against her candidacy and arming you with the information you need to take action in the public square to stop the takeover of our republic, and even Western Civilization.
---- ....but because it's full of black and brown people in Aurora nobody cares.----
No, it's because y'all voted Democrat; that's why "nobody cares". Although, I've read recently that the local Hell's Angels are calling in their California chapter members to help in clearing-up your problem for ya. Now, who wants to bet on who the Denver police are going to (try to) arrest?
