Election Night 2020 – What I saw as a member of the media

November 3, 2020 was the date the American Republic ceased to exist.

That doesn't mean it can't be resurrected (actually begun over, anew) on November 5, 2024 — but to believe that 'America', as that idea has come to be understood, still exists, would be foolhardy.

A little background — I grew up in the US military and lived on Air Force bases until essentially high school began in 1975. I am American through and through (despite living in the UK for close to my first seven years — although born in Texas.)

I am an American patriot, but being Catholic I am also rabidly anti-Communist — as was another US Patriot, Venerable Archbishop Fulton Sheen.

Since consciously arriving in America with my dad, mom and older brother aboard the SS United States from England in the summer of 1968, I have loved my homeland; and it didn't take long for me to understand the connection between politics and patriotism. (Schoolhouse Rock, during Saturday morning cartoons, was instructive — "I'm Just a Bill sitting here on Capitol Hill.")

I've been interested in politics and culture since I was a little kid — tracking the Nixon-McGovern Race on election night in 1972 in sixth grade — coloring states red or blue in Scholastic Magazine (for those who remember that).

I followed the Watergate proceedings intensely as my high school years began. I sat with a tape recorder (remember those?) recording Nixon's resignation speech.

I watched the bicentennial celebrations from coast to coast, hosted by Walter Cronkite from 5 a.m. until midnight the summer between my freshman and sophomore years.

I read everything I could get my young mind around during the 1976 Carter-Ford campaign, and knew instinctively that Carter was a loser and bad for the country — despite the outward appearance. I was glad when he got wiped out by Reagan in 1980.

I actively worked on the Reagan campaign my sophomore year at Notre Dame; and the next time he would be campaigning (for re-election) I was working at CBS News in Manhattan, covering his campaign with the network's political unit — headed up by the late Warren Mitofsky.

All of this is to say — politics (from both a cultural and religious point of view) has been a part of my life as far back as I can remember.

In my career I reported from the field, produced hundreds of pieces, and sat at the anchor desk election night after election night over decades — observing, reporting and commenting on the process going back to Reagan-Mondale in '84.

Which brings me to what I saw, as a seasoned multiple Emmy award winning investigative journalist, on election night 2020 — the revelation of a coup to unseat a sitting President — with the help of a vast conspiracy; participated in and covered up for by the legacy news media.

The vote-counting actually stopped; and it stopped in the most critical counties in exactly the most critical states to ensure Biden would "win." It stopped in four crucial counties, roughly all around the same time — Dane County in Wisconsin, Wayne County in Michigan, Philadelphia County in Pennsylvania and Fulton County in Georgia.

What got my attention as I was leading our live coverage from the set at Church Militant was how North Carolina had not been called for Trump. 99% of the vote was in and Trump had a sizable enough lead to project him as the winner, but no media operation was doing so.

He did eventually win North Carolina, of course, but that failure on the part of the media to declare for him (again while we were live on set) got me looking at other states' results; and I noticed around 11:30 p.m. ET that the vote totals (the counts) that had been rolling in pretty fast up to that point, suddenly came to a screeching halt in all four of those states — WI, MI, PA and GA (in addition to NC.)

In nearly half a century of being involved one way or the other on election night, I'd never seen anything like it. In fact, I had never gone to bed as a boy or as a reporter/anchor (with the exception of 2000 Bush-Gore) without having known who was the winner of the White House. It just didn't happen — ever.

So stunned was I at what I saw unfolding before my eyes, and sensing that some kind of bad history was being made — I quickly scribbled down where the vote count totals were stuck, slightly before midnight. (The picture you see is from my notepad on the set that night.)

The weirdness of it all began to catch local media off-guard all around the country. What the hell was going on? Why did the counting suddenly stop — and, very important, it was not the vote reporting from the states that stopped — that happens from time to time as election officials go over numbers to make sure they are publishing correct information.

No — this was vote counting. Big difference!

And then — the steal itself began. For example, in Wayne County, MI — after election officials told assembled media that the count was being suspended, and would resume the next morning at 10 a.m. — suddenly at 3:30 in the morning — fresh numbers started appearing on newscasts. By that time, our coverage had ended and the crew and I had gone home.

Being a political junkie, I turned on my TV before going to sleep, dismayed and not really able to process what was going on. To my shock, Michigan's numbers were now updating at 3:30 a.m. — AFTER everyone had been told there would be no more counting until 10 a.m. the next day.

In Detroit (Wayne County), election workers infamously covered up the windows and refused to let onlookers see what they were doing — which was cheating (which is why you cover up the windows).

Trump's lead literally evaporated in the dead of the night, under the cover of darkness. The same thing happened in Fulton County, Georgia; Dane County in Wisconsin and Philadelphia County in Pennsylvania.

Crucial state by crucial state over the next day or two suddenly flipped into Biden's column and by Saturday the major media — who completely abandoned their civic duty (because they support anti-God, anti-human, anti-American Communism) — declared Biden had won the necessary electoral college votes by winning enough states to become president.

Through a combination of lying, cheating, propaganda, vote rigging, and rule breaking — all made possible through the pretense of a health crisis — the American Republic ended that week.

Since the illegitimately elected Biden and his administration have assumed power, we have seen their plan for America unfold. They killed the Republic and, for the past 3 and a half years now, they have been burying it.

But, all hope is not lost. Tenacious patriots, religious-minded, faithful Christians are growing in number in opposition to all this. Those most hurt by the policies of the Communists (the poor, minorities, America-loving citizens) are watching events unfold that, left unchecked, will crush the souls and liberty of their children and grandchildren.

Enormous numbers are coming to sense that this one is for all the marbles, and the Communists must be defeated in November. Yes, they will cheat again. Yes, the Biden plan to first let in more than 10 million illegals and get them registered to vote is now in high gear — however, these must not become points of discouragement, but calls to action.

The question is not — can America be saved? The question is — can it be resurrected? My notes from the set on election night 2020 were the epitaph on the tombstone of the first American Republic (1776-2020.)

Only one of two things will happen this November — that grave remains undisturbed, and America passes into history — or a fresh grave is dug, and a resurrected Republic rises through the will of God and patriotism to kill and bury atheistic Communism.

We need to make sure my notes from election night 2020 are not the final word.

Yes, cheating happened, I saw cheating back in the late 1990s or early 2000s when a man in front of me claimed he was my neighbor who lived 3 doors from me. I said he was not that person, and he ran. out. Mostly, they tell Hispanic migrants to tell officials they are Puerto Ricans at voting time. Puerto Ricans are given citizenship even though the person is from Central America.
