D-Day was just the end of the beginning

With the election of Donald Trump and Pro-Lifers across the nation on Nov. 5, we won the battle.
You prayed, worked and fought. YOU won.
Now for the REALLY hard part.
In every one of us the natural and supernatural orders meet and oftentimes clash inside our souls. It's why religion and politics are so massively important.
Now we need to pray for and summon forth even greater tenacity and perseverance for the remainder of the war, which has only just begun.
We here at Souls and Liberty have frequently likened the election to that of D-Day and the scramble to get ashore into Hitler's "Fortress Europa" in 1944.
But D-Day was not VE Day (Victory in Europe Day). It was victory in JUST Normandy; and while it WAS critically necessary, it was not TOTAL victory – far from it.
The greatest, bloodiest casualties were still to come, as the loss of more than 100-thousand American lives over the next 10 months would prove.
When France fell to the Nazis in June 1940, Winston Churchill broadcast an address to the conquered French; likening their defeat to nightfall, the intrepid British leader told them to wait for morning to come.
Four long years later, late in the evening of D-Day, with Allied troops securing the beachhead after a long day (the longest day) of blood and carnage, Churchill delivered another speech in which he rightly declared, "Morning has come."
This is a parallel to our story here in America.
After four long years of dominance by an Empire of Evil, Patriots have managed to secure a beachhead and win the day (our own D-Day.)
But like the allies in Normandy, the beachhead means nothing if final victory isn't achieved.
Once the Nazis had realized that Normandy was locked down and reinforcements and supplies were pouring in, they began some of their most aggressive counterattacks.
Entire Panzer divisions and artillery were thrown against Allied troops and threatened, for a time, to hurl them back into the sea. But they pushed forward, countering every assault with an even more ferocious one of their own.
In short, the Allies' perseverance and determination to see the war to its victorious conclusion was more powerful than the Nazis' brutal response.
Christian Patriots are in this exact same situation now.
We are on the post-election beaches and the incoming rounds from the Communists in DC and the cultural institutions are becoming more organized and vicious and numerous. They have re-equipped after their Election Day mauling.
They will soon resort to violence, since they have failed politically.
They are the wounded animals – their "Fortress Europa" that they believed impenetrable has been breached and while they are in a state of disbelief and disarray, their leaders are even now regrouping, promising to derail President Trump's moves to restore order and rid America once and for all of this influence.
Two of Trump's nominees have already been taken out.
President (Elect) Trump is not the savior.
Jesus Christ is the one and only Savior; but Heaven uses men – even severely fallen men – to exact Its will. This is called Divine Providence.
And while it is true that Trump supports various issues that directly conflict with Christian teaching, it is also true that a foundation to roll back social evils must be laid somewhere, at some time – a beachhead must be established from which to advance against the enemy.
Very few actual saints fought on the front lines. The average soldier was a sinner, just like you and me.
Remember, the Communists have been at this for more than a century. It was 1922 when Josef Stalin launched his assault against the West – understanding, like Antonio Gramsci, who founded the Italian Communist Party in 1921, that the roots of the Christian West – Catholic social and moral teaching – would have to be destroyed in order for globalist Marxism to succeed.
Communism – as Our Lady, the Queen of Heaven foretold at Fatima in 1917, just weeks before the Bolshevik Revolution – has "spread its errors throughout the world." The Marxist influence is still dominant in every sphere of life, in every institution we have in the west.
The Communists have been at this – completely dedicated – for more than a century, and final victory will not be achieved by us in a short period of time. It will take decades to kill off and purge their evil agenda.
But the groundwork is even now being laid, and as Venerable Archbishop Fulton Sheen once said, "These are exciting days to be alive!"
Indeed, these are exciting days – not because of some misplaced euphoria, but because we now have hope that the war can be won; not without incredible, INCREASED dedication and sacrifice and commitment and perseverance, but it can be won.
Souls and Liberty is in this fight to help you; and we are able to do so thanks to you and your understanding of the great stakes for which we are all fighting.
We understand that, in the end, this is not a political battle – it is spiritual. But it IS being played out in the political (and every) arena – as has happened thousands of times in history.
The Devil doesn't possess omnipotence – he must work within the world and world affairs as they unfold; but he does have sway and influence over those who actively give themselves over to him.
And let's face it – some human beings are bigger prizes to him than others because of the authority and power and influence they wield.
Nowhere is this more evident than in the world of politics, where the power to corrupt so many lies in the hands of so few.
There is a convergence between the natural and supernatural worlds – and that convergence, that meeting, takes place in our souls.
We are enfleshed souls; spirits living a human experience. So we must commit both body and soul to the fight; for our collective culture in this world – and our individual souls in the next.
Now is the time for each one of us to redouble our efforts. Please make a donation TODAY to support our work. We rely on YOUR donations in order to provide you with the tools you need to fight this war.
The Devil will tell you that the battle is won and to relax. Or that you are not worthy to build the Kingdom of God.
But fight we must.
