Father Chad Ripperger: 'Without Mary's protection, our country is toast.'

One of America's most renowned exorcists has composed a powerful prayer consecrating the tectonic 2024 US election to the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Father Chad Ripperger recently unveiled the consecration prayer on the 'US Grace Force' podcast and urged everyone to recite the prayer each day until the election.

Ripperger said the 2024 ballot is "possibly the most consequential election that we’re going to have."

"Without [Mary's] protection, our country is toast." he said. "I mean, we're just simply not going to elect the proper people, we're just not going to have the grace in order to elect those people ... that hopefully would be elected."

The exorcist said he composed the prayer "to hand this [election] over to Our Lady" because She's the one that's able to handle it.

"Our country is so foolish in all its decisions and all the things it's doing. [It is] not being governed by any sense of wisdom," he said. "We have to be willing to discern that."

PLACING DECISION 2024 UNDER THE MANTLE OF MARY

The priest said this election represents a battle "not just [for] the survival of our country but for the religious survival of our country."

He explained that "the diabolic or the demonic" is trying to push immorality "as far as it possibly can, as quickly as it possibly can, and now that some people feel like they have the advantage, they're pushing this stuff even further."

He said he began to realize "we need to start praying for this election right now" to "keep the diabolic at bay" and "place [the election] under the mantle of Our Lady."

"What's being proposed for the course of our country is actually very contrary to not just the history of this country and the identity of this country and its ethos, but … it's just so contrary to the common good in every single respect," said Ripperger, "and you can actually see why the Church has historically condemned things like Communism."

Those belonging to the side that pushes evil in this coming election "do not hold them themselves to any kind of moral standard whatsoever, whether it's telling the truth or being duplicitous or being hypocritical or just out and out lying," he observed.

Because Communists have abandoned reason and natural law, "you can't reason with them," he said. "And you can't coexist with them, because they're like the demons. They are constantly trying to get in and control everything."

THEOLOGICAL GUIDANCE FOR VOTERS

Ripperger addressed the issue of voters who may shun the Republican ticket because they have concerns about Trump's apparent softening stance on abortion and other moral issues.

He said voters need to understand the "theological principle of the lesser of two evils" when casting their ballots in the upcoming election.

"Now the lesser evil or the greater good is always to be chosen …." – St. Thomas Aquinas

Recalling the works of St. Thomas Aquinas and Pope Saint John Paul II, Fr. Ripperger said, "This is where people don't get it right. They say, 'But you're still voting for evil.' Actually, no, you're not, morally."

"It seems to me that you would be obligated to actually vote the lesser of two evils in the upcoming election in order to preserve the good that would otherwise be lost," he said.

"The Church has taught that citizens have an obligation to vote for the sake of the common good and to preserve the good as best we can," Ripperger underscored.

As the election approaches, Fr. Ripperger is imploring everyone to unite in prayer for our country. Praying the Consecration of the Election to the Blessed Virgin Mary daily – and saying and sharing the prayer with others – is rooted in the Catholic belief that Our Lord "cannot refuse His mother what she asks."

This is confirmed by the many instances throughout the centuries when intercession to Our Lady rerouted the course of history, including at the Battle of Belgrade (1456), the Battle of Lepanto (1571), the Siege of Częstochowa (1655), the Battle of Vienna (1683) and the Battle of Warsaw (1920); which stayed the spread of communism in Europe for the next two decades. And, first of all, it was confirmed in Our Lady's appeal to her God-Son, as recorded in John's Gospel, when He turned water into wine and saved the wedding day.

Father Ripperger is asking everyone to become prayer warriors and fervently recite his prayer, Consecration of the Election to the Blessed Virgin Mary – the patroness of the United States – in order to spare the nation a Communist victory in November.
