Did Trump escape a third attempt on his life during a weekend rally in California?
Yes, according to deputies with the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.
Officers arrested Vem Miller at a checkpoint near the rally in Coachella Valley, Saturday.
He was sporting a phony press pass, fake IDs, and at least two guns when detained.
No, says conservative pundit Mindy Robinson, who knows Miller personally.
Robinson blasted officers for reacting "hysterically," insisting Miller posed no threat.
"They're about to have a lot of egg on their face," she told Newsweek on Monday.
For his part, Miller vehemently rejects the allegations, saying he is a Trump supporter.
He claims his credentials were legitimate and that he always travels armed.
Miller was released on bail while the FBI and Secret Service investigate the incident.
