A conservative super PAC has expanded its ad campaign targeting Democrats' anti-Catholic bigotry in key battleground states.
Frontiers of Freedom Action (FFA) bombarded the airwaves in Ohio and Pennsylvania last week with ads highlighting Democrat candidates' prejudice against Catholics and their opposition to religious liberty. The FFA charge is lead by PAC president and patriot George Landrith, who has warned the Dems' intention is "to destroy the American constitutional republic and replace it with a totalitarian based system."
The latest round of two-minute video ads, presented in both English and Spanish, exposes the anti-Catholic measures of Senators Sherrod Brown (D-OH) and Bob Casey (D-PA) – both incumbents seeking re-election.
"Brown is particularly vulnerable because he's trying to separate himself from the extremist left-wing record he has established and trying to say he's not going to do that anymore," Landrith said. "The longtime Ohio lawmaker is currently running to save his seat in the upper chamber among voters who overwhelmingly voted to elect former President Donald Trump twice."
"The Catholic vote, which is almost 20% of the Ohio population, could be the deciding factor to move society toward traditional values representation." – Jim Ellis, political consultant
"Meanwhile, Casey, who was once pro-life and has long identified as a Catholic, has all the same problems that Brown and the other candidates have with their party's record of anti-Catholic bigotry and his failure to stand up to it or denounce it," Landrith added.
"Catholics comprise almost a quarter of the Pennsylvania population and can make a definable difference in the election outcome." – Jim Ellis, political consultant
The patriot said that although many Hispanic voters are moving toward Trump, they tend to vote for incumbent members of Congress based on name recognition only. They need to be informed about just how anti-Catholic and left-wing they are.
The ads outline the anti-Catholic and religiously hateful legislative actions of both Brown and Casey. These include the candidates' attempt to coerce the Little Sisters of the Poor to violate their faith and provide abortion pills, their promotion of radical gender ideology compelling Catholic schools to allow men in women's locker rooms, their support of unrestricted abortion up to the moment of birth – paid for by taxpayers – as well as opposition to protecting newborn survivors of abortion.
"There are 60,000 Hispanics in Columbus, where we are advertising in Ohio, and half a million in Philadelphia, where we are on Spanish TV," said the FFA PAC president. "We think Hispanic voters in Ohio and Pennsylvania, as well as Catholic voters, will be outraged by the records of the two incumbents in failing to respond to anti-Catholic bigotry in their party."
FFA'S BATTLE ON THE WESTERN FRONT
An FFA video blitz was launched earlier in September in Arizona, Nevada and New Mexico – three western states where Republicans are hoping to flip Senate seats red. The ads focus on the anti-Catholic records of Rep. Ruben Gallego (D-AZ), Sen. Jackie Rosen (D-NV), and Sen. Martin Heinrich (D-NM).
"The Hispanic Catholic population, over one-third of the entire New Mexico populous, can step forward in this election. They can make their collective voice heard in the battle for President, the tight US Senate, and in the state's southern congressional district that will come down to just a few votes. Now is the time!" – Jim Ellis, political consultant
"Gallego is particularly vulnerable because of his far-left record. He is unsuitable for Arizona – but so too are Martin Heinrich in New Mexico and Jackie Rosen in Nevada," said Landrith. "When Hispanic voters – especially Hispanics who attend Catholic Mass – come to learn about their senator's record of anti-Catholic bigotry, they are going to be stunned."
"Nevada's 800,000 Catholics can make the key difference in what are always close Nevada elections." – Jim Ellis, political consultant
"We had a tremendous response to both our Hispanic-language and English-language ads in the largest nightly news slots in Phoenix, where viewers sometimes saw our two-minute ad twice in the same news hour," said Landrith.
"There are over 1.5 million Catholics in Arizona, and it is high time for them to make their voice heard." – Jim Ellis, political consultant
These swing states where anti-Catholic candidates are fighting for the votes of significant Catholic populations will play a decisive roll on Nov. 5, Jim Ellis, political consultant for Souls and Liberty, points out.
The creators of the videos understand what's at stake. The narrator in each of the campaign ads issues this warning: "Latino-Americans remember how evil governments in Mexico, Cuba, Nicaragua, and Venezuela hated the Church and Catholics and how they persecuted priests, nuns, and laypeople. Latino-Americans know from history that this must not happen here in America."
The ads also end with these words: "Viva Cristo Rey. Viva La Virgen de Guadalupe."
