The question for voters in November

In between legal floggings at the pillar of the corrupt Democratic machine, Trump managed to slip in two rallies in battleground states on Wednesday.

At a gathering in Waukesha, Wisconsin, about 20 miles west of Milwaukee, the former president blasted Biden's dehumanizing, debilitating economic policies. Welcoming Trump as "the next president of the United States," the massive crowd cheered and chanted his name over and over.

Trump lamented that "73% of Americans are now living paycheck to paycheck. That's the highest number ever recorded. … Yet Crooked Joe Biden wants to raise taxes on top of that."

But, he promised, "When I'm in the White House, the Biden economic bust will quickly be replaced with the Trump economic boom. We're going to replace it."

The 45th president lambasted Biden's recent claims of historic low unemployment numbers:

Trump also pointed out that illegal immigrants comprised the majority of Biden's unemployment figures.

He reminded his audience of the robust economy during his administration, detailing statistics that ordinary Americans can remember, but the Marxist media ignores:

"We had the greatest economy in history," he summed up.

In Freeland, Michigan, about 80 miles northeast of the Democrat-controlled capitol of Lansing, Trump addressed another massive crowd who had lined up early to hear their candidate.

"It's great to be back in this beautiful state with thousands of proud, hardworking, God-fearing American Patriots," he began.

As he did in Wisconsin, Trump reminded Michiganders of the financial devastation they have suffered under the Biden regime.

After three years of Biden rule, the American middle class is withering — the result of purposeful plundering by Democrats, Trump told his mostly working-class audience:

The former president also took the opportunity to castigate Biden's recent unauthorized revamping of Title IX.

Trump also urged the crowd in Freeland to vote for former US Rep. Mike Rogers (R-MI) over leftist US Rep. Elissa Slotkin (D-MI), who are vying to represent Michigan in the US Senate.

“Mike Rogers will vote to secure our borders, crackdown on sanctuary cities, support our police and stop the crime that is ravaging your communities and ravaging our country. He’ll vote to block the Biden tax hikes, he’ll allow nothing to happen bad to our country,” Trump said.

'For You'

Finally, reflecting on the Left's barrage of legal actions against him, President Trump said, "Every time the radical-Left Democrats, Marxists, communists and fascists indict me, I consider it a great badge of honor … because I'm being indicted for you."

The Wisconsin and Michigan rallies occurred on May 1, the feast of St. Joseph the Worker, which was established by Pope Pius XII to serve as a Catholic corrective to the communist "fervor of May Day."

Whatever his other faults, Trump's readiness to suffer calumnies and fight alongside the common man serves as a corrective to the disdain the Marxist elites holds for ordinary Americans.

In a way, it also exemplifies the sacrificial example of St. Joseph who, as earthly father to Jesus and husband to Mary, fought heroically, day in and day out, to preserve and protect his family.
